The Frozen Past

A millennia ago, the old gods went silent. When their prayers stopped being answered, the world went into turmoil. After years of war and plague, a new god descended upon the earth promising peace and prosperity to all. Since then, a large and prosperous kingdom has risen from the ashes with the new god as their patron.  

However, not all is what it seems on the surface. Those who challenge the strict ethics and moral upstanding of the new order are met with swift abduction by the royal guard, never to be seen again. Many live in fear, longing for the return of true freedom that existed under the old gods. Seeking answers to the whereabouts of the old gods, the party sets off into the frozen tundra where the forgotten gods’ cathedral lie.

Caught in the middle of a blizzard, the party arrives at a junction leading to a cave and a bottomless ravine.
